Gallipoli Campaign

Gallipoli Campaign

The Gallipoli Campaign was conceived by members of the War Council of the British Cabinet as a strategy for breaking the trench warfare deadlock on the Western Front during the First World War. It was a disastrous campaign lasting for eleven months and ending with the allies withdrawal and the loss of 100,000 lives.
