What may be an unroofed shieling-hut annotated as a Ruin is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1855, sheet 42), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).

Unroofed building marked as ruin on 1st edition OS map. Sub-rectangular stone-built structure 2.5 x 2.25m internally. Aligned N-S with opposed entrances 0.5m wide at N end. Wall spread to thickness of 1.25m and up to 0.7m high.
