19963: Battery Park, Lewis

Battery Park was the name given to the area occupied today by Battery Park Road, Builnacraig Street and Millar Road, adjacent to Stornoway Harbour. Although this area is now part of Stornoway, prior to the 1930s it was part of Sandwick and the later road names did not exist: instead, residences had Battery Park numbers.
