24661: Wigtownshire

The historical county of Wigtownshire is located in southwest Scotland and includes the southernmost point in the country, the Mull of Galloway. At one time Wigtown was the administrative centre of Wigtownshire, but in 1890 this function was taken over by Stranraer, the county’s largest town.
