Dannaidh came to live at 19 Kirkibost after his mother’s death, and was raised by his two uncles (both Donald). He was profoundly deaf and said to possess second-sight. When the people of Bernera began fund-raising to build a causeway across the Sound of Earshader, he told them that they needn’t bother as there would be a bridge there shortly. He went on to describe the bridge in detail and, as he described, so it happened.
Dannaidh inherited the croft (No19), he passed it to his nephew John, his brother George’s son.
