110073: Donald Maciver

Donald (1811-1891) was the son of Angus Maciver and Mary Macleod of 20/21 Cross, Ness.

Donald married Mary Campbell, of Habost, and the couple settled at 20/21 Cross; they had seven children: five girls and two boys.

Donald was widowed in 1865; later that year he married Margaret Morrison, of 26 South Bragar, and settled with her, and his youngest son, at 26 South Bragar. Two of his daughters Margaret and Annie went to live with their sister Mary at 12 North Tolsta at this time. Annie sadly fell to her death from Tolsta Head later that year. Donald had no children with his second wife.

In due course 26 South Bragar passed to his son Donald.
