117719: Margaret Shaw

Margaret Shaw and her husband Alexander Paterson of Borve had a daughter Catherine, born 1818. The site of their home was later known as Tobhta Alasdair ‘ic Thormoid. 

Note: Margaret Shaw is identified on her daughter’s death certificate. It is possible that this is a mistake, since another Margaret, surnamed MacKillop, was the mother of Alexander’s younger children. If the name Margaret Shaw is correct, she might also have been mother to his three older children.
