According to local tradition the Macrae family came from Kintail and settled in Southern Pairc.
Alexander was married to Ann Macrae and they had a son, Donald, in 1775.
He was widowed and married Catherine Mackenzie. Alexander and Catherine had a daughter, Henrietta, in 1783.
