Hector Macdonald (1807-1888) was a son of Malcolm Macdonald and Christina Mackenzie, Steimreway and Old Lemreway. At the time of his marriage he was living at 9 Habost the croft of his brother, James.
In Lochs, in 1838, he married Catherine Smith, 26 Laxay. Hector and Catherine settled at 18 Laxay and they had ten children.
