Malcolm (1869-1944) was a son of Colin Mackenzie and Isabella Mackay of 2 Keose. Malcolm was a blacksmith by trade.

In 1898, at 1 Huntly Street, Inverness, he married Margaret Black of 42 Waterloo Place, Inverness. The couple lived at 6 Mamore Road, Kinlochleven, where Kenneth worked in the aluminium works.

Malcolm also lived at 1 Leven Road, Kinlochleven with Margaret and their first six children; they went on to have nine children in total.
