Johnnie Mackenzie was born 1886 to 4 Calbost; he emigrated to South America about 1904. He is believed to have been at San Julian and Punta Arenas before moving circa 1910 to Santa Cruz, Argentina. He visited Stornoway in 1914 for the last time.
John married a lady from the Falkland Islands and had three daughters (Annie, Flora and Mary) and at least one son, Roderick, who volunteered for service in the British Army at the beginning of the Second World War and was killed at the landings at Flushing, France in 1940.
