Malcolm, born in 1868, was a son of Norman and Ann nee Macdonald from 16b Tobson. He married Catherine Macdonald from 16 Hacklete and had nine children - one dying in infancy. They lived at 16 Tobson until 1921 when Croir was lotted and they moved to No 8.
