Norman, born 1868, was a son of John and Mary nee Macdonald, 1 Tobson.
He died of lockjaw at 8 days – this was often referred to as ‘tinneas na seachd oichde’ – the seven night sickness; other parts of Lewis called it ‘tinneas na seachd latha’ – the seven day sickness.
