57541: Angus Macdonald
Angus, son of Murdo Macdonald and Margaret Macleod, 13 New Shawbost was a pupil teacher in Shawbost, Headmaster in Islivig, Uig and then in Gravir from 1907 to 1917. He taught in Balallan School from 1917 to 1920 and then in Fidigarry School, Ranish until 1943.
Angus was married to Mary Macleod, 4 Tolsta Chaolais and they retired to 24 Newton Street, Stornoway. They had four children: Roderick (1904-1931); Mary (1906-1967); Angus (1908) and Donald John (1910).
