Catherine (1891-1956) was a daughter of Murdo Mackenzie and Christy Ann Macdonald, 13 Marvig. Her mother died in childbirth in 1899 and in 1900 her father married Ann Macmillan, 23 Lemreway.
At Stornoway, in 1914, she married Alexander Kennedy, 1 Cromore. Catherine and Alexander settled at 13 Marvig and they had ten children.
