Mary Ann was born in 1910, the daughter of Malcolm Morrison and Margaret MacLeod. Born at her grandparents’ croft, 21/22 Ruisgarry (Ben Leva), she attended Berneray School for a few months in 1917, before leaving for Harris, to 3 Ardslave. The family later moved to 3 Satran, Skye.
