76668: Rachel MacLean

Rachel was born in 1908, the younger daughter of Angus MacLean and Catherine MacAskill. Her mother died shortly after Rachel’s birth. Her father moved with his children to Baile. When her father was at sea, as at the time of the 1911 census, she and her sister would stay with their grandparents. 

The house was passed to Rachel following her father’s tragic death in 1929. She married Malcolm Munro, with whom she was to have two daughters. They later settled in Glasgow.
