Donald MacDonald

Donald MacDonald

Donald MacDonald, born about 1800, was from Pabbay. He worked as a tailor. He married Joan MacCrimmon from Kilmuir, Skye, with whom he had six children. They seem to have lived on Pabbay for a while before moving to Berneray. During the 1850s the family moved to a newly built home in Ardmaree.

Donald was a fiddler, and gave a violin to Malcolm MacAskill, mentioned on page 25 of the book Orain Chaluim.
