Murdo Nicolson (1840-1918) was a son of John Nicolson and Isabella Macleod, 5 Old Gravir. In the 1852 Lotting the family obtained 32 Gravir.
In Lochs, in 1866, he married Jessie Morrison of Stornoway. Murdo and Jessie settled in Stornoway and they had at least four children.
Murdo was widowed in 1909.
