91448: John Macdonald
John (1825-1895) was the son of John Macdonald and Catherine Macdonald of Cuilatotair. In 1845 John obtained 24 Old North Tolsta. John became an Elder at Back and Tolsta Free Presbyterian Church.
John married three times.
John’s first wife was Margaret Macleod of 24 Old South Tolsta, they settled at 24 Old North Tolsta. The couple moved to 12 North Tolsta in 1853. John was widowed in 1857, without children.
John’s second wife was Christina Murray of 27 North Tolsta, they settled at 12 North Tolsta. John was widowed again in 1859, without children.
John’s third wife was Mary Maciver of 20/21 Cross, Ness. She settled with him at 12 North Tolsta and the couple had six children: four girls and two boys.
