92465: William Macleod

William (born 1799) was the son of Donald Macleod and Gormelia (surname unknown). It is not known where the family were living at the time of his birth, but by 1820 his father is on the sub-tenants list of Old South Tolsta Tack.

In the 1830 croft lottings the family obtained 20 Old South Tolsta.

He married Betsy Maciver, of 19 Old South Tolsta, but it is not known where the couple initially settled or where their first two children were born.

In 1842 the family obtained 32 Old South Tolsta and had a further two children there.

In the 1851 croft relottings the family obtained 32 North Tolsta and it was here they had their fifth and final child.

In 1853 the family emigrated to Huron Township, Bruce County, Ontario. At this time 32 North Tolsta passed to Donald Maciver.
