92785: Johanna Maciver

Joan (1898-1982) was the daughter of Kenneth Maciver and Annie Macdonald; the family were cottars at 38 North Tolsta.

Joan was in domestic service in Canada prior to her marriage to Murdo Smith, of 11 New Tolsta at the home of her aunt, 6 Kennoway Drive, Partick, Glasgow, and the couple settled at 38 North Tolsta. They had one daughter. When their daughter married, a self contained extension was built to their house for her; it was called Seaway.

Joan was widowed in 1979. After her death her house was merged with Seaway.
