Margaret (born 1887) was the daughter of Angus Campbell and Catherine Macdonald; the family were cottars at 51 North Tolsta.

Margaret married Duncan Maclean, of 63 North Tolsta, , and the couple initially settled as cottars at 51 North Tolsta.

At some point after the war they obtained Sighthill Cottage, North Tolsta. The couple had six children: five girls and one boy. In due course Sighthill Cottage passed to their daughter : Joan.
