Mary (1860-1907) was the daughter of Alexander Murray and Catherine Murray; it is not clear where she was born as the family moved from 66 North Tolsta to Garrabost the year of her birth.

Her mother died in 1872 and her father went on to marry Ann Murray, of 21 Branahuie, the family settled at 21 Branahuie and her two half-siblings were born. In 1875 her half-sister died in infancy.

Mary married John McKendrick, of Glasgow, in 1885 and died at the age of 47.
