Kate Morrison was born at Black Street, Glasgow in 1902. Her parents were Malcolm Morrison and Isabella MacQueen. As both her parents died when she was still young she was raised by her paternal grandparents at 7 Laxdale. She graduated as a primary school teacher and became a teacher in Barvas School. Soon afterwards she married Alex. Macleod 24 Brue and they had a family of three sons at 24b Brue . Kate died in 1987.
