120047: SS Sultan Star (161359)

The SS Sultan Star was a Steam Cargo Ship built by Cammel Laird & Co Ltd, Birkenhead in 1930 for the Blue Star Line, London.

She was on passage from Buenos Airies to Liverpool with a cargo of beef and butter and was torpedoed on February 14, 1940. Only one of the crew of 73 was lost.
