The SS British Chivalry was an Oil Tanker built by Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron company, Jarrow in 1929 for the British Tanker Company.

On February 22, 1944, on passage Melbourne to Abadan the SS British Chivalry was in the Indian Ocean south of the Maldives and was torpedoed and sunk with the loss of nineteen lives.
