75565: Philante

Built for Sir Thomas Sopwith by Camper & Nicholsons in 1937, the MY Philante was requisitioned by the Royal Navy as a convoy escort ship during the Second World War. In 1947 it was purchased by the Norwegian people, and was renamed the Royal Yacht Norge.

Several men from Berneray crewed on the yacht in its early years.
