70708: Kingussie Higher Grade School

There has been a secondary school in Kingussie since the time of the Columban missionaries. The current building, Kingussie High School, dates from 1970.

In the past, many pupils from the Outer Hebrides attended Kingussie HG School. For example, starting in 1924, several pupils from the island of Berneray received their secondary education there, some with scholarships.
