41 Gravir was a newly formed croft in 1870 and the first tenant was Alexander Maciver (born 1824) from 2b Lochganvich. In the late 1870s the family returned to 2b Lochganvich and the croft was obtained by John Mackay (1838-1919) from 28 Gravir. The crofts were merged and registered under 28 Gravir
