19 Southside is part of 19 Gravir whose first Tenant was Donald Macphail (1816-1899). His sons, Neil (1848-1916) and Kenneth (1857-1918) were Cottars at 19 Southside Gravir, Neil's house was passed to his son, Kenneth
The house occupied by Kenneth MacPhail and his wife, Marion MacAskill and family was sited below the road and has since been demolished.
