14 Aird Tong was a newly lotted croft in 1812 and the first tenant was Captain John Macleod (1771-1853) and the croft was passed to his son,  Donald (1816-1849). When Donald died the croft went to his widow, Catherine Maciver daughter of Donald, 3 Steinish.  Their son, Donald inherited the croft and passed 14 Aird Tong to his son, Angus.

Donald Macleod passed 14 Aird Tong to his son Angus Macleod and upon his death his widow, Catherine Macleod obtained the tenancy.  When Catherine died their son, Angus became the tenant of 14 Aird Tong.
