71320: 1 Upper Carloway

The first known tenant of this croft was Murdo Maclennan (1780-1879).  It was then passed on to his son Duncan (b1831); to Duncan’s son in law Murdo Maciver (1862-1903); and Murdo’s son Duncan.. After Duncan’s death in 1957, his widow Ann moved back to Grimshader and as they had no family, the croft was sold.
