15 Tolastadh bho Thuath

15 North Tolsta came into existence in 1854 when 14/15 North Tolsta was split.

The first tenant was  Alex Macdonald, the son-in-law of Isabella Maciver, tenant of 14/15 North Tolsta. 

The croft passed to nephew, Alex Maciver, 43 North Tolsta and in due course 15 North Tolsta passed to their son, Murdo Maciver.  He  never married and the croft passed to his brother, Murdo.

Murdo Maciver sold to the croft to John Maclean who also obtained 14 North Tolsta. The two crofts were recombined to form 14/15 North Tolsta once more.

John set up Tolsta Dairy on the croft.

Cottars:

Murdo Morrison was a cottar at 15 North Tolsta in a house on the other side of the road from the croft house.
