65 Tolastadh bho Thuath

65 North Tolsta was a new croft in 1857and the first occupants were Colin Smith and Ann Morrison. The couple had six children: Angus, Isabella, John, Christina, John, and Murdo. In due course 65 North Tolsta passed to their son, John.

John Smith married Marion Morrison of 5 North Tolsta and they had four children: John, John, Colin, and Murdo. Their first son died in infancy and their second age ten. Marion was widowed in 1919 and died herself in 1922. Their two youngest children went to live with their aunt at 53 Hill Street. In due course 65 North Tolsta passed to their son, Colin.

Colin Smith passed 65 North Tolsta to his cousin, Donald Smith and settled with his brother at The Shieling, Lochside. He never married.

Donald Smith  married Margaret Campbell of 7 North Tolsta. They had their son whilst living at 75 North Tolsta where they had built a new house called, Creagard. In due course 65 North Tolsta passed to their son, Alexander Angus.

Alexander Angus Smith never married.
