103952: Hill Street South, North Tolsta

The first tenants of Hill Street South, North Tolsta were John Macmillan and Kenina Macleod. The couple had at least four of their children: Catherine, Anne, Donald and Hector, there before moving to 2 Glen Tolsta in 1891. Their fifth child, Anne, was born the year of the move.

In 1891 the feu passed to, widow, Annabella Maciver and her two children: Murdo and Dolina. In due course the feu passed to Annabella's daughter, Dolina.

Dolina married John Maciver of 33 North Tolsta and during his last home leave of the war John was drowned in the Iolaire Disaster of 1919. Dolina never remarried and in due course the house passed to her grand-nephew.
