James Morrison and Jessie Maciver were the first occupants of Edgemoor Cottage, North Tolsta. They had four children. Edgemore Cottage was then sold to John Angus Macdonald, 3 Camach Park.

Angus married a Tolsta woman and the couple already had three children: a boy and two girls.
