104238: 16 Old North Tolsta

16 Old North Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1830. The first occupants were John Mackay, Ann Morrison, and their children: Roderick, Norman and Jessie. Once settled the couple had a further child, Malcolm. Ann died the year her son was born. John went on to marry Jessie Smith of 4 Old North Tolsta, and the couple had three children: Catherine, Angus and Marion. In 1853, when Old North Tolsta was decrofted to make way for Tolsta Farm, the family obtained 16 North Tolsta, after the previous occupant lost that croft.
