105924: 5 Old South Tolsta

5 Old South Tolsta was a newly lotted croft in 1830 and the first occupants were Angus Murray, Annie Campbell and several of their children including: Margaret, Mary, Donald, Margaret, Isabella and Murdo. Angus was originally from Knockaird and Annie from South Dell.

An Angus Murray does appear on the Old South Tolsta Tack subtenants list of 1820. It is not possible to say if this was him as by 1830 two Angus Murrays obtained crofts in Tolsta. In 1851, during the croft re-lotting, the family obtained 35 North Tolsta.
