The first tenant of 4 Sheshader was John Macleod (1816-1895) Iain Dhomhnaill Iain, 2 Sheshader. The croft passed to his son, Kenneth Macleod (1853-1908)  Coinneach Iain Dhomhnaill  and then to his brother, Norman Macleod (born 1855)  Tormod Iain Dhomhnaill. Norman passed 4 Sheshader to his son, James Macleod (1885-).

John's son, Donald Macleod (born 1848) Domhnall Iain Dhomhnaill was a cottar on the croft. The house is now demolished.
