18524: Christina Macinnes

Christina born 1830, was a daughter of Duncan Macinnes and Margaret Macleod, 3 Crulivig. In 1867 she married widower Norman Maclennan from Bosta. When Kirkibost was resettled in 1878 Christina, who was by that time widowed, was allocated 17 Kirkibost but according to oral tradition, for reasons now unknown, there was bad-feeling between Christina and the Bosta people. Because of this she swapped crofts with Murdo Macdonald am Brunach at 10 Tobson and he took on her croft in Kirkibost.
