7408: Angus Macaulay
Angus (1827-1909) was a son of Donald Macaulay and Mary Macaulay who lived in Little Bernera. The family moved to 5 Bosta. Angus was a fisherman and owned the Kate and the Planet and composed the poem Am Parsail Post
He married Ann Matheson from 3 Aird, Uig. Angus and Ann lived in Bosta until 1878 when they moved to 13 Kirkibost. The couple had eight children only five of whom survived.
Angus was widowed in 1884.
