101921: John Macleod

Iain Chaluim Dhonnchaidh

John (1838-1917) was a son of Malcolm Macleod and Mary Macaskill, 41/42 Upper Carloway.

In Uig, in 1862, he married Catherine Mackay from Lamishader. John and Catherine lived at 41/42 Upper Carloway and they had four children.

John was widowed in 1874 and at Barvas in 1875 he married  Ann Maclean, 40 South Bragar. John and Ann lived at 41/42 Upper Carloway and they had three children.

John was widowed again in 1882 and at Stornoway, in 1883, he married Barbara Macleod of 50 South Bragar. John and Barbara lived at 41/42 Upper Carloway and they had six children.

In 1890 John's father died and the croft was split and John was passed 41 Upper Carloway.
