Catherine Macleod or Macaulay (1835-1906) was a daughter of Catherine Macleod, Scapraid and latterly Àirigh na Bèiste.
She married widower Malcolm Matheson, 31 Lower Shader. Malcolm and Catherine settled in Newvalley, Stornoway and they had four children.
Catherine was widowed in 1875 a year after their daughter, Mary was born.
