Joyce Hazel Christine Roberts (1919-1978) was a daughter of Alfred Ernest Roberts and Margaret Austen Levack, Isle of Sheppay, Kent.

In Romford, in 1938, she married George Sydney Ford from London. The couple lived in Maidenhead and they had a daughter. Joyce and George were later divorced.

Joyce married Edward Percy Newitt from London and was widowed in 1963. She moved to  Farm Cottage, East Ingleston by Forfar.

In Lerwick, Shetland, in 1965, by Special Licence she married John Mackay, 23 Goschen Crescent, Scone, Perthshire and formerly of 11 Kershader. The couple lived at 10 Braewick Road, Lerwick and when they  retired they moved to  the Old Schoolhouse, Cromore.
