Mary, born 1806, was the daughter of Peter Morrison and Catherine MacAskill of 7 Orasay. Mary married Roderick Morrison of Borve, Berneray, where they made their home with their five children. In 1854, with the clearance of crofts to create Borve Farm, the family was moved to Scotasay and then in 1870 to 2 Ardslave.
