John Angus (1945-2016) was the son of John Maciver and Catherine Campbell of 44 North Tolsta. His father, who had earned four medals in the war, died the year of his birth.

John Angus married a woman from Back and the couple settled at 44 North Tolsta and they had three daughters. His mother died in 1989.

At some point his wife inherited 18 Back and 34 Back.
