Catherine (born 1849) was the daughter of Evander Ferguson and Ann Murray of 53 Back.

Catherine married Angus Macdonald of 28 Vatisker. The couple were cottars at 53 Back and later moved to 4 New Street, Back. They had seven children, two boys and five girls.
