Alexander (born 1856) was the son of Donald Stewart and Isabella Maciver of 53 Coll.
He married Christina Stewart of 26 Coll. The couple were cottars at 26 Coll and they had seven children.
In 1921 his son, Donald obtained 34 Upper Coll, but passed this to his brother, Murdo. At some point Alexander settled at 34 Upper Coll with his son.
