Hugh (1801-1876) was the son of George Morrison and Isabella Macmillan. In 1833 the family obtained 29 Old Back which was taken in Hugh's name.

He married Christina Mackenzie from Back. The couple had eight children.

In 1858 the family obtained 47 Back.
